“What pastoral care programmes do you have at Kent Ridge Secondary School? Do your teachers give you a lot of homework?” These were some of the questions that our Student Ambassadors answered at Nanyang Primary School’s Secondary Roadshow.

On 20 May, 8 students and 3 teachers participated in Nanyang Primary School’s (NYPS) Secondary School Roadshow. The roadshow team comprises Student Ambassadors of KRSS and also Secondary 1 students who are alumni of Nanyang Primary School. The team set up a display booth that showcased the school’s ethos, programmes and achievements to the Primary 6 students of NYPS and their parents. Armed with iPads, the team also went around providing valuable information on the school to interested parties.

Malcolm (3E5) and Caroline (3E6) exhibited poise and confidence as they gave a talk on the school during the breakout session. The dynamic duo presented our school’s array of programmes in the form of a light-hearted and engaging conversation. They also answered questions that were asked by the audience during the Question and Answer segment of the presentation.

It is the hope of the team that their efforts will help the NYPS Primary 6 students and their parents make informed decisions when they select their secondary school and that they have promoted KRSS as a choice school.
