We kicked off the month with a double celebration: the 18th Annual Awards Day and 53rd National Day. “Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow” was the theme this year and this was apt for the ceremony which celebrated what we always place as our top priority, the holistic development of each student. The day began with a march past by our uniformed group contingents led by the Guard of Honour, National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC). The occasion was graced by the Guest-of-Honour, Mr Tan Chin Sian, an alumnus of the school along with members from the School Advisory Committee, Parent Support Group, West Coast Constituency Office and West Coast Citizens’ Consultative Committee.

The main ceremony featured academic, co-curricular and leadership awards for students, long service awards for teachers and appreciation awards for partners of the school. Between the prize-giving segments, guests enjoyed lively performances by the Visual Performing Arts groups as well as guest performances by students in the Music Elective Programme. The day ended on a high with Kent Ridgeans belting out familiar homeland tunes and flying the nation’s flag with pride.
